ClientVault - Secure Client Manager

Last Updated: October 2024

Introduction

VaneSpark ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how ClientVault handles your data. ClientVault is designed with privacy as a top priority—all data is stored locally on your device by default.

Our Privacy Commitment

ClientVault operates on a simple principle: your client data belongs to you, not us. We have built the app to ensure:

  • Zero Data Collection: VaneSpark does not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to external servers. We operate no servers.
  • Local-First Storage: All data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your device
  • No Analytics: The app operates entirely offline with no telemetry collected
  • No Ads: ClientVault is ad-free and does not profile users

Data Storage

What Data is Stored

ClientVault stores the following types of information locally on your device:

  • Client profiles (names, contact information, notes)
  • Conversation history (imported from WhatsApp or SMS)
  • Work items and task tracking
  • Documents and files you attach to clients
  • Invoices and receipts you generate
  • App settings and preferences

How Data is Protected

  • Encrypted Database: All data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database
  • Biometric Authentication: Optional fingerprint or face authentication
  • Encrypted Backups: Password-based encryption using PBKDF2 + AES-256-GCM
  • SHA-256 Checksums: File integrity verification

Optional Features

Google Drive Backup

If you choose to enable Google Drive backup:

  • Backups are encrypted with your password before upload
  • VaneSpark cannot access your encrypted backup files
  • You can disable this feature at any time
  • Revoking access removes our app's ability to access your Drive

Document Scanning

ClientVault uses ML Kit for document scanning:

  • All document processing occurs entirely on-device
  • No images are sent to Google's servers
  • Scanned documents are stored only on your device

Contact Sharing

When you share client contacts via vCard:

  • You control which information is included
  • Sharing happens through your device's share sheet
  • No data passes through VaneSpark servers

Permissions

ClientVault requests the following permissions:

  • Camera: For document scanning (optional)
  • Storage: For file attachments and backups
  • Contacts: For adding clients to your phone book (optional)
  • Biometric: For app lock authentication (optional)

All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time through your device settings.

Third-Party Services

ClientVault may interact with the following services only when you explicitly enable them:

  • Google Drive: Only if you enable cloud backup
  • WhatsApp/SMS: Only when importing conversation history

These services have their own privacy policies. VaneSpark does not share any data with these services beyond what is necessary for the specific function you requested.

Data Control

You have complete control over your data:

  • Export: Create backups in standard formats
  • Delete: Delete individual clients, all data, or uninstall the app
  • Revoke: Revoke any permissions or disable features at any time

Children's Privacy

ClientVault is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
